Boneless Buffalo Wings

After tasting these boneless buffalo wings at TGIF, I made a decision that I am surely going to try making these at home and when I tried making them at home, it had the exact same great taste. The so-simple-to-make boneless buffalo wings are so delicious, spicy and crunchy that you just can't resist. The secret to it's crunchiness and crispness is 'Doritos'. Yes, you read that right.. Doritos are the secret ingredient here! Here's the recipe to the crispy pieces of fried chicken breasts coated in the traditional buffalo wing sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 1½ pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup finely crushed Doritos (or another similar junk food item)
  • Oil for frying
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • ¼ cup Frank's RedHot
Method:
  • Cut the chicken into 12-16 equal-sized pieces.
  • Beat the eggs well.
  • Combine the flour, cornmeal, and chips in a large bowl.
  • Heat the oil.
  • Dredge the chicken in the dry mix, then the egg, then the dry mix again and set aside on a plate until all are coated.
  • Fry 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and crispy. Check that they are cooked through by cutting one in half.
  • Drain on a metal rack while you get the sauce ready.
  • In a large bowl, mix the melted butter and Frank's. Toss the hot chicken pieces in the sauce until coated.
  • Serve at once with blue cheese dressing.
